Sacramento Concert in the ParkSacramento's Friday Night Concert In The Park

For more than ten years, Sacramento's Concert in the Park series has single-handedly transformed "wino park" into Sacramento's favorite Friday night gathering by showcasing some of the hardest working local bands. 

Attendance hovers around 1,000 people and a safe environment for parents with children, young adults and old-timers has been created by cordoning off the beer garden from the general concert area.

Booked by Sacramento's local music guru, Jerry Perry, publisher of Alive and Kicking, the series has become a defining element of Sacramento's musical scene.  In 2006, The Deftones threw a show that saw nearly 2,000 fans pack the park and while the show was not officially part of this specific series, it's all part of the local vibe this venue produces.
