Sacramento The Park Ult

The Park Ultra Lounge
(916) 492-1960
15th and L St.,
Sacramento, CA
Corner of 15th St and L St.

The Park Utra Lounge set a new standard amongst night clubs in Sacramento.  This year, they pulled DJ AM as a regular, and have hosted some of the finest red carpet events Sacramento has seen.  Spacious and beautiful interior keep locals coming back and outta-towners thinking twice about Sacramento's reputation as a cow town.

Sandbar, Sacramento NightlcubSandbar
(916) 722-2400
7942 Arcadia Dr.
Citrus Heights, CA

Formerly, Club Aqua, a favorite amongst those living in the outskirts of Sacramento and Roseville, was rebranded in April.   A massive night club, Sandbar has the largest outside patio of any club in the county, cozy VIP area, and in years past, has booked some of the best live talent, including The Crystal Method.  Sandbar also brought back the sand volleyball court from 10 years ago, something that we hope will stick.

Harlows NightclubHARLOWS
2708 J St. Sacramento
(916)441-4693 harlows@harlows.com

Sacramento's original top shelf club features national and local acts such as Damian Marley to Jackie Greene and in between.  2 full bars, dance floor with total capacity at about 350.  Average cover: $10 - $20 depending on talent.  Separate club and cover upstairs in The Momo.  Definitely one of two clubs that caters to the mature set, but also brings in the young.

The Momo Lounge SacramentoThe Momo Lounge
Behind Harlows between 26th and 27th on J Street.
(916) 320-9467

Sactown's first serious ultra lounge has had several face lifts, and features some of the best house and mash-ups. Last summer, UFC champ, Georges St. Pierre held his after party after taking the belt at Arco Arena.

Azukar Sacramento Night ClubAzukar
1616 J St.
Sacramento, CA

(916) 730-6033

Sacramento's newest nightclub is right on the main drag (J St).  Food service with late night menu serving Mexican dishes, valet parking available and young set make this joint the alternative hot spot for the young set.  From what we've seen, they're pushing the high-end vibe, but it appears that the majority of their clientele is college-style.

Avalon Nightclub SacramentoAVALON
805 15th Street Sacramento, CA
(916) 553-4277

Avalon took over where Elements lost control.  Formerly the old American Legion hall. The new and improved Avalon hosts weekly live shows featuring TOP 40 and dance recording artists.  Very nice VIP booths inside and out. Not many wallflowers, serious dancing, good mix of young and mature.
 Avg. cover: $10 - $15

Tre Nightclub, Sacramento, CATre Nightclub
1212 Howe Ave.
Sacramento, CA 95825

(916) 564-5333

Honestly, Sacvibe hasn't been to this club yet but we only here good things from locals and their DJ lineups are solid. Just a few miles east of downtown, it has become a hot spot in it's own right.

Zokky NightclubZokku
419 J Street
Japanese Restaurant w full bar

Two floors offer distinctive vibes.  Solid Japanese restaurant and full sushi bar on first floor.  Night club with VIP booths and bottle service upstairs. House, Hip Hop and occasional live shows including go-go dancers and big screen projectors.  Heavy asian crowd, slightly oversexed marketing campaigns but overall, a solid club with excellent security.  Avg cover: $10.

Sacramento Venue nightclub and concertsVENUE
1417 R Street @ 15th and R
Sacramento, CA

(916) 448-3300

The old Empire Events Entertainment center has undergone a $2 million dollar redesign which is a chunk of change when one considers the college crown this place has historically attracted.

MIX Downtown, Sacramento NightclubMIX Downtown
Corner of 16th and L
Inside the Firestone Building

The latest addition by Sacramento's longest running club operator, Mason Wong & Co., this venue quickly became a hot spot and continues to draw good crowds. Good food, outdoor patio with a fire pit and solid dance music by some of the best DJs in the area.

Marilyns on K Sacramento Marilyn's
908 K Street
Sacramento, CA

(916) 446 - 4361
Terrible website, cool club.

Marilyn's used to be the watering hole for the capitol crowd (State Capitol, that is), but they moved a few blocks up on K, installed a larger stage and as redesigned their whole look.  What used to be mainly a drinker's bar, is now something a little different offering clubbers seeking live music and dancing a new spot on the block.  Local blues "boy" Jackie Greene made his name playing this joint first back when he wasn't even old enough to buy a beer.

Old Ironsides live music nightclub in Sacramento, CAOld Ironsides
